Vanessa Ford Interiors is a full-service interior decorating studio based in Concord, CA. We believe that everyone should come home to happy. We transform interiors through creative, thoughtful, and intentional design — your home should feel uniquely yours. We lend our design expertise to clients for residential projects across the Bay Area and anywhere via eDesign.
Home is the most important place in the world. At Vanessa Ford Interiors, we aspire to design your home for the way that you want to live in it. We draw inspiration from your individual story to create delightful spaces that are both meaningful and functional. Our design process begins and ends with you.
Through the use of color, fabric, furnishings, fixtures, and accessories, we transform the aesthetics and functionality of a space while working within its existing walls. We can start with a blank slate or completely reimagine a space with a blend of new and existing pieces. We can tackle just one wall, a single room, or an entire home. And while we get excited about the thought of a demo day, we will have to call for reinforcements for any renovations.
For structural or architectural changes (e.g., removing a wall or designing a built-in), we will analyze your space and make recommendations that you can take back to your contractor. We’ll partner as your design consultant to ensure that all proposed plans are cohesive with the bespoke design that we are creating for you.

VANESSA FORD
founder + principal
I didn’t know it then, but I found my calling when I was 7 years old. I drew my first floor plan after coming back from an open house. I loved to surprise my parents by rearranging their furniture and swapping decor between rooms. When I worked in retail as a teen, my favorite part of the job was merchandising. My love affair for interior design only intensified as I grew up, but I pursued it as a hobby and something I did “on the side” for friends and family.
It was inevitable that I would end up here. I’ve enjoyed a successful career in events while working in the corporate world. In essence, I was designing environments and experiences for big brands. From designing an escape room at Comic-Con to concocting a mobile Fantasy Food Truck, I love to flex my creative muscle. Then one day it dawned on me — I need to be doing this for people and real spaces! I opened my studio in the fall of 2020 and haven’t looked back.
I am accredited by C.I.D. International as a certified interior decorator. I received my B.S. in Business Administration from San Francisco State University. When I’m not designing, I try to escape to Maui. You can usually find me drinking boba, munching on donuts, and snuggling with my two boys, hubs, and sweet pup.
